Tamarind Date Chutney, A Delicacy To Enjoy Main Dish

Tamarind Date Chutney is a North Indian recipe that is made using jaggery, tamarind, black dates & spices. This delicious chutney, when get combined with the meal, connects zing to your food. One could distribute this chutney with parathas & even as a dip with the wraps, rolls, sandwiches & cutlets. The tangy chutney is fiber rich & if you wish you could skip including jaggery & increase dates quantity in it. Khajoor Imli’s chutney/Tamarind Date Chutney prepared in pressure cooker or instant pot. The chutney is tangy & sweet both at the same time. It is made with tamarind, jaggery & dates as the dish’s primary ingredients.

Method to make Tamarind Date Chutney:

1) Initially, clean the dates and keep them besides. Then, place a vessel with medium flame & drop cumin powder in it. Roast the powder except oil & keep it in a different bowl. Maintain the flame low.

2) On the other hand, put other frying vessel with low flame & add dates, tamarind & water in it. Cook the combination for like ten-twelve mins. till it tender.

3) Now, add powdered jaggery & cook the combination till jaggery gets dissolved & the material thickens.

4) Next, include roasted cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder & ginger powder & stir the combination for four-five mins. Then season the mixture along with black salt and turn off the gas. Let it stay cool.

5) Then, place the mixture in a grinder & grind well till smooth in continuity. Strain the mixture through a strainer & make it ready for serving.
